PROCESSING

Controlled Processing for Consistent Part Quality
SpinoPC® compounds are developed for stable and repeatable industrial processing. Because polycarbonate is moisture-sensitive before melting, controlled drying, sealed material handling, residence time, and temperature management are essential for protecting melt quality, surface appearance, and final performance.

Injection Molding
SpinoPC® injection molding grades are available for transparent and colored components, thin-wall housings, precision parts, and complex reinforced structural components. Processing conditions are selected according to flow, optical and surface requirements, component geometry, tool design, and application needs.

Drying and Material Handling
Grade-specific drying conditions and moisture limits must be followed before processing. Proper storage, sealed transfer, and controlled residence time help protect melt quality, surface appearance, mechanical performance, and process stability.

Tooling and Temperature Control
Appropriate machine capability, wear-resistant tooling where required, controlled melt and mold temperatures, balanced filling and cooling, and careful residence-time control support surface quality, dimensional consistency, optical performance, and repeatable production.

Grade-specific drying conditions, melt temperatures, mold temperatures, residence-time limits, and other processing recommendations are provided in the relevant technical documentation.
