Home Appliances
Reliable materials for everyday appliances.
Politem develops compounds for Home Appliances and small appliances requiring electrical safety, heat resistance, moisture performance, appearance and long-term functionality.
Performance Behind Every Function
Appliance components operate close to heat, water, detergents, moving systems and electrical parts. Materials must process consistently, maintain dimensional accuracy and support the safety and service-life requirements of the final product.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
|
• Washing-machine components |
• Dishwasher components |
|
• Pump and filter housings |
• Detergent and fluid-management parts |
|
• Fan and impeller housings |
• Vacuum-cleaner components |
|
• Handles, hinges and latches |
• Control-panel structures |
|
• Connectors and electrical housings |
• Small-appliance structural parts |
Material and Technology Portfolio
The portfolio combines reinforced, heat-resistant, hydrolysis-resistant and flame-retardant technologies with appearance and recycled-content options.

Application Driven Development
Politem supports the development process from material selection and formulation through moulding trials and validation. The required balance may include flame retardancy, heat resistance, stiffness, impact performance, flow and recycled-content targets.
TESTING AND VALIDATION
In-house evaluation may include UL 94, glow-wire, GWFI, GWIT, needle-flame, ball-pressure, mechanical, thermal, colour and gloss methods. CTI, chemical resistance, moisture absorption and other market-specific analyses may be coordinated externally upon request. Testing does not by itself constitute certification, listing or approval.
