Material solutions for textile and fibre technologies.
Politem develops polymer compounds and recycled feedstocks for fibres, yarns, technical textiles and textile-related components requiring consistent processing and application-specific performance.
From Polymer Feedstock to Textile Performance
Textile and fibre applications depend on controlled melt behaviour, viscosity, mechanical performance, colour and processing consistency. Requirements vary across spinning, extrusion, nonwoven production, technical textiles and functional components, making application-specific material selection essential.

Performance Priorities
The required property balance depends on polymer source, feedstock condition, spinning or conversion process, product geometry and end-use environment.
|
• Consistent melt flow and viscosity |
• Fibre and yarn processability |
|
• Tensile strength |
• Flexibility and elongation |
|
• Abrasion and wear resistance |
• Moisture behaviour |
|
• Thermal stability |
• Colour consistency |
|
• Contamination control |
• PCR and PIR content options |
Application Driven Development
Development begins with the polymer stream, feedstock condition and intended conversion process. For recycled textile materials, separation, preparation and characterisation establish the basis for formulation, compounding and application-specific optimisation. Recycled-content targets are confirmed grade by grade.
TESTING AND VALIDATION
Evaluation may include FTIR, density, ash content, MFR or MVR, relative viscosity for polyamides, mechanical, thermal and colour testing. Moisture, chemical-resistance and other market-specific analyses may be coordinated externally upon request. Testing capability does not by itself constitute certification or approval.
